An interesting fact is that the music in this segment is that Ending Gundam speed destiny also has a main character quite similar to Sasuke named Shinn Asuka. anyone who watched naruto with their eyes open and not from reels alone cannot hate sasuke, after everything he went through if he didn't lost his mind like that he wouldn't be human everyone go like naruto suffered more but never become like him blah blah blah well try to remember how naruto turned out to be after jiraiya died he never looked more similiar to sasuke and he knew jiraiya no longer than 3 year and he was at least a teenager when he ever experienced the pain of lost not just solitude and that was because jiraiya was a true hero to die like one. sasuke lost everyone he knew in a 1 single night by the hands of the most beloved person in his life, tortured mentally, got even more alone than naruto (let's be honest naruto at least had iruka, lord 3rd, shikamaru and chouji with him no matter the circumstances he at least had some positive influence in his life while sasuke had nothing, literal nothing, shallow, obnoxious fangirls who only likes him for equaly superficial reasons and a village only is interested in his skill and name nothing more, sasuke is nothing more than a child celebrity to everyone in his village they only see an idealized version of him when they look at him, not his pain, not his loneliness, not his needs and not his desires and absolutly not his damaged mentallity, i mean which kid in his 12 speaks about how he doesn't like anything and he hates almost everything and not having any dream aside from wanting to kill his very own older brother and anyone else doesn't took him as anything serious, if anything this kind of speech proves how much sasuke got lost on his own depression, social isolation and obsession at an meager age of 7-12 he is basically is a baby not even old enough to enter puberty he probably didn't even had hair anywhere aside from his head and brows when he left the village let alone when he lost his whole family for ABSOLUTLY NOTHİNG uchiha clan died nothing more than because of the 3rd hokages incompetence and tobirama's racism nothing more sasuke lost everything he had for nothing more than some stupid old man not being able to run their village properly, he lost his whole family, his childhood, his mental health, his dreams (before massacre sasuke had dreams which is the quote of his trying to say ''what i dream does not lie in the future, it is in the past, it is the only place it exists'' he dreamed of proving himself to his father, he dreamed surpassing itachi, he dreamed of joining konoha police force and maybe even leading it, but with just 1 single night they all died a painfull death, now there is no father to prove himself, no konoha police force to join, no adored elder brother to surpass for pure reasons) and after everything he went through learning that last family he had died by his hands because of the very village his brother died to save that called him a traitor, it is perfectly understandable he went bat shit insane and wanted to destroy them, only real mistake sasuke ever did was trying to kill naruto too but unlike others sasuke doesn't try to kill naruto out of revenge or hatred he wanted it cause without death naruto wouldn't never left him alone and sasuke could never enter the darkness he wishes to be inside (which again is stated in one of his famous quote ''i shut my eyes a long time ago, the things i seek now lies only in the darkness'' are the words he said to gaara who walked through the same darkness sasuke walked but this quote also states his ultimate difference too which is why no one hates gaara and everyone forgaved him so easily, gaara didn't want to be in that darkness, it was forced on him just like naruto, there was no light in his life and just like naruto once he found a source of light he got out of it without resistance but unlike those 2 sasuke didn't enter that darkness because of the lack of light he willingly jumped throught the gates of hell he didn't want anything from the light only way to his ambition was darkness so he rejected naruto unlike gaara or every other villian that turned good all of them just wanted light for the world they lived in and once they saw naruto as a source of light they abandoned their old ways but unlike them sasuke didn't want a better world until he met the reanimated itachi he wanted to burn the world to the ground in a way sasuke was the only real villian who didn't do bad things for a greater good he didn't excuse his vile behavior with good intentions he was straight up just a force of nature, he was the incarnation of curse of hatred not madara or indra it was sasuke who truelly embodied the curse of hatred like naruto trully embodied the will of fire like hashirama or ashura never could both madara and indra had the greater good in their mind or greed and pride in their heart while both ashura and hashirama gaved up eventually it was only sasuke who had only and only hatred and revenge in him and nothing more or less than that while naruto was the only one who actually never gave up.

This to me is the saddest part of naruto other than jiraiyas death. Makes you remember that sasuke truly loved and adored itachi before that day. And him finding out that he did everything he did to protect him just makes this scene very powerful.
